But, one that I didn't really appreciate when I was younger the way I do now.

Behind my words are my unchanging professional standards:  My responsibility as reporter goes far beyond researching, interviewing, and writing articles. I must find the right stories while they are still fresh.  I must build popularity by writing columns that increase the size of your readership.  My success depends on my credibility – with my sources, coworkers and with readers."
