Elvis-loution!

OK. After mentioning Mojo Nixon yesterday, I had, had, HAD to find this and post it for you. It's a horrible copy, but it this fails to make you laugh, you are either dead, or the anti-christ.
Remember, we are all moving in perfect peace and harmony toward perfect Elvis-ness. Even the anti-christ, I suppose.

Elvis is cool. Elvis could sing.

Mojo-Nixon sounds like a bad version of George Thoroughgood.

On my box set of Conway Twitty songs, there is one added that was never released as a single. Three verses with the refrain, "Who did they think he was?" first verse, Elvis (name never mentioned, just a boy from Tupelo and a few songs), second verse, (John) Kennedy (last name only), third verse, a carpenter nailed to a tree (Christ never mentioned).
It is not nearly one of Conway's best songs. Conway himself was a contemporary of Elvis.
Elvis was one of my grandmother's favorite singer along with Marty Robbins. My other grandmother was an accomplished musician who like polka music, Conway, and Charlie Rich, who was the last Sun record star following in the footsteps of Elvis.
Conwayplayed minor league baseball. Conway was still going strong when I began to listen to the radio, one of the reasons I avoided pop music.
Elvis may be everywhere, but he ain't the anti-christ.
