Pernell Roberts RIP
Here's a story about it, with a video clip! He played the oldest brother, Adam Cartwright, on the "Bonanza" TV series. I always liked the episodes with him the best.

Pernell Roberts had a distinctive voice. As he aged he seemed unable to break out of the badguy role enough.
I have been watching a lot of the retro network on 24-2 digital TV over the air.
The Rockford Files, Alfred Hitchcock, Kraft Suspense Theatre (hour long movies), are among the best. There is a Rod Serling show (not Twilight Zone) with creepy music).
