They didn't save the Fortress of Solitude, but ...

.. fans did raise $100,000 to fix the home in Cincinnati in which Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Here's the story.

Now there just needs to be a story invented, or, uh, maybe just creatively told about the other several thousand houses in Cleveland needing restored.
